About the event

This is a two-day training workshop for professionals (Psychologists, Counsellors, and others) working with people who have experienced childhood sexual abuse.

Your Trainers:

  • Jillian Butterworth (Clinical Psychologist)

Jillian is a registered Clinical Psychologist with a Master’s Degree in Psychology (Clinical). She is a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists (NZCCP) and Sex Therapy New Zealand (STNZ). She has worked in the field of sexual violence for over fifteen years with both survivors and perpetrators of sexual trauma.

  • Frances Koni (Rongoā Practitioner)

Frances is a practicing Kaimirimiri / Kairomiromi / Kairongoā who has a tohu (Diploma) in Heke Rongoā obtained from Te Wānanga o Raukawa and Ngāti Whātua. She is a member of Te Kāhui Rongoā Trust. Through her own illness, Frances learnt the ancient practices of our Tūpuna through Kaimirimi – Wairua/Hinengaro (spiritual/mental), Kairomiromi - Hinengaro/Tinana (mental/physical) and Kairongoā (medicine) to work with people in balancing their spiritual, mental and physical bodies to bring wellness and liveliness within. She works with people of all ages, from our tamariki (children) to our kaumatuā (elderly).
